Joyce M. Wadams

Joyce M. Wadams, 83, of Attica passed away peacefully in her home on November 23, 2019.

She was born on September 3, 1936 in Clyde, Ohio, and is the daughter of the late Frank and Magdalene (Nick) Fultz. On January 21, 1956 Joyce married Dorsey “Skip” Wadams in Clyde, Ohio.  Skip preceded her in death on June 5, 2003.

Survivors include her three daughters: Terri (Robert) Doyle of Chillicothe, Ohio; Sherry (Gregory) McConnell of Bellevue, Ohio; Lisa (Kraig) Martin of Attica, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Megan (David) Donaldson of Chillicothe, Ohio; Logan (Christina) Nagel of Columbus Grove, Ohio; Nathaniel (Jen) McConnell of Sylvania, Ohio; Hilary (Casey) McElwain of Bellevue, Ohio; Alison (Cameron) Brant of Willard, Ohio; Alexis (Sam) Strayer of Bellevue, Ohio; and Brennan Martin & Collan Martin of Attica, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Caitlyn, Emma, Jacob, Braden, Kenzie, Bryson, Reid, and Madelyn; two brothers: Willie Fultz and Larry Fultz; four sisters: Faye Hunley, Carole Fultz, Mary Jo (Richard) Ulman, and Linda (Larry) Hall; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, JoAnn Berberick and Sandra Gurney; and one great-grandchild, Avery Annette Nagel.

Joyce was retired from the former Mapa Pioneer in Attica where she had worked for over 25 years.

Joyce enjoyed working outside in her yard and tending to her flowers, volunteering at the Attica Food Pantry, and walking with her girlfriends.  She also enjoyed participating in the Relay for Life with her sisters.  But the thing she loved most was spending time with her three daughters and their families, as well as visiting her brothers and sisters.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Hanneman Funeral Home, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica, Ohio 44807. Joyce’s Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church, 101 High Street, Attica, Ohio 44807 with Pastor Bob Adelsperger officiating. Burial will follow at the Attica Venice Cemetery.
