Shirley Settlemire

Shirley Settlemire, 82, of Findlay, Ohio passed away Friday, November 29, 2019.

Shirley was born on October 10, 1937 in Winfield, West Virginia to the late Mervin and Nellie (Bowyer) Duncan. She is survived by her children: Trina (David) Hindall, Don “Rusty” (Stacy) Setttlemire and Bobbie Sue Settlemire all of Findlay, Ohio; grandchildren: Erica, Joshua, Weston, Kelsi Anna, Britney, Brianna and Tyler; great-grandchildren: Deija, Zachary, Waylon, Penelope, Kruseman, Harper, Cora, Veda and Ezra; great-great-grandchildren: Destinee and Zayne and her sister Norma Jean Duncan of Piqua. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Michelle Lee; siblings: Johnny, Herbie, Harley, Jimmy, Earl, Chuckie, Vernie and Linda.

Shirley worked as an assembler, Union Stewart and Union President for RCA and then Harris Company retiring after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Red Hats, and she loved going to garage sales. Shirley was a collector of angels, beanie babies, loved watching NASCAR and cheering on her favorite driver Jimmy Johnson.  She was a caregiver and spent her time out at Birchaven sitting with people who had developed Alzheimer. Shirley was a loving and caring individual who would help anyone in a time of need. The most important part of Shirley’s life was her family and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Visitation for Shirley will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 2:00 until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 PM in the HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be gifted to the Alzheimer’s Association.
