Allan Baird Obituary

Allan Jay "Al" Baird, 64, of Rawson, passed away June 16, 2025, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born November 30, 1960, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late James E. and Norma J. (Grant) Baird. Allan married Cathy Konecny and Sandy Brooks and divorced both times.

Allan was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School (1979) and Nashville Auto Diesel College, Nashville, Tennessee. Allan worked at Findlay Mack, Duke Transportation and a few other places throughout the years. But in September 2015, he started working at the Bluffton Stone Company. Michael Gerken and everyone at Bluffton Stone were like family to Allan. Through the last two years of Allan's battle with cancer, this "family" is what kept him fighting on a daily basis. For this, I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Allan was somewhat of a social butterfly. He never met a stranger and he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had many gatherings in his home for benefits, motorcycle runs, or just to have a good time with friends.

Allan is survived by his sister, Julia M. (Glenn) Park, of Bluffton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James R. Baird.

Allan's friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life Open House at the Findlay Moose Lodge #698, 1028 W Main Cross St #2421, Findlay, Ohio, 45840, on July 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
