Alma Westhoven

Alma Marie Westhoven, 86, of Liberty Center, Ohio passed away January 10, 2022. Alma was born on June 27, 1935 to the late Edwin and Nora (Brubaker) Miller in Okolona. She married Gerald Westhoven on October 3 1953 in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon, and he survives.

Alma was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was active in all her children’s school activities and was supporter of the Liberty Center Athletic Boosters. For 18 years, she was the head waitress at Holiday Inn and she loved being around all the people. Her family was important to her and she will be greatly missed.

Alma is survived by her husband of 68 years Gerald; children: Julian Westhoven, Greg Westhoven, Theresa (Greg) Eitzman, Joe Westhoven, Cecilia (Gene) Quigley, Christine (Randy) Lothrop, Patti (Scott) Canelli; 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; and brother Pete Miller. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, son Ken, grandchildren: Damien Westhoven, Elizabeth Lothrop; brothers Harold, Ronald, & Robert Miller, and sisters Helen Fuller and Melba Young.

Visitation for Alma will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple Street, Liberty Center, Ohio 43532. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 14010 South River Road, Grand Rapids, Ohio with interment immediately following in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
