Alvin was a 1957 graduate of New Riegel High School. Alvin faithfully served his country in the United States Army. During this time, Alvin served a mission in the Congo attached to the U.N. forces performing emergency personnel evacuations. Alvin was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay for over 60 years, where he helped renovate the Downtown Church in spite of his Parkinson. Alvin loved fishing, an activity that he found to be very peaceful. Alvin was also an avid woodworker. The most important part of Alvin’s life was his family.
