Amanda Sue (Kiel) Long

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda Long, born on June 7, 1976, in Bowling Green, Ohio. Amanda left us on April 21, 2025, after a life filled with love, family, and fun. She was living in Savannah, Georgia, where she enjoyed every moment spent with her loved ones.

Amanda was a proud homemaker who found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. A 1994 graduate of Otsego High School, she always carried that spirit of enthusiasm into everything she did. Amanda had a passion for the ocean, the beach, and dolphins, and she was an enthusiastic supporter of the Savannah Bananas baseball team.

She is survived by her devoted spouse, Briton Long, and her loving children: Austin Varela, Gavin (Heaven) Varela, and Jaxton Long. Amanda was a cherished daughter of Michael (Stacey) Kiel and Cindy (Dave) Wichman, and sister to Nick Wichman, Tyler Kiel, Phillip Wichman, Luke Kiel, Ryan Wichman, Chelsea Bontjes, Sydney Kiel, and Camryn Kiel. She was also the proud grandmother of Rosalie and Beau, who brought so much joy to her life.

Amanda's heart will always hold a special place for her late son, André Varela, and her sister, Molly Kiel, who preceded her in death.

Visitation for Amanda will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM, at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 West Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home.
