Andrew Gonzales Obituary

Andrew Gonzales brought his light into this world on January 14, 1976. Doctors told his mother he had Down syndrome and a heart condition and she would be lucky if he lived to be four years old. He passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at age 45. His smile and laughter were magical and he was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a fan of movies, swimming and participated in special olympics. He was a proud graduate of Wood Lane School and worked at the Wood Lane Workshop.

Andrew is survived by his devoted mother Maria (Gonzales) Martinez; brothers: David Pratt, Dan Martinez Jr. (Amber), Gabe Martinez (Megan) and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dan Martinez; niece Eva Martinez; loving grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Memorial contributions may be gifted to the family c/o Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise Street. For those who are unable to attend in person, the funeral can be viewed by clicking  St. Aloysius Catholic Church link. Burial will immediately follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
