Angela Marie Gierhart

Angela (Angie) Gierhart, 59, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital on October 7, 2024. She was born to Ron Gierhart and the late Susan (Willey) Hoffbauer on June 10, 1965 in Fremont, OH

She graduated from Fremont Ross High School. Angie obtained her Bachelor's Degree from The University of Toledo in Engineering.  

Angie was a very loving person and had a smile that lit up the room. She enjoyed sports and her favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

She is survived by her parents Ron and Karen (Forgatsch) Gierhart. She is also survived by siblings, Michelle (Terry) Veleba and Matt (Mindy Wyss) Retter; and nephews Alex and Kyle (Gabriella Gonzalez) Veleba and Cody Bowman. Also surviving Angie are her step-father Paul Hoffbauer; step-siblings Joe Hoffbauer, Joyce Hoffbauer-Gossard and Ronald (Kristi) Hoffbauer and her best friend Karen Michael. Angie will also be missed by her cat, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her mother; all of her grandparents; uncles, Scott Forgatsch and Bobby Willey; aunts Beth Lewis and Martha Farago, and step-brother Rick Hoffbauer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home 416 South Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio. Funeral Services will be immediately following visitation at 12:00 pm. Private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, OH.
