Anthony Duane Thomas

Anthony Duane “Boom” Thomas, 62 of Lima, went to his heavenly home on March 7, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Anthony was born January 13, 1963, in Lima, to John Nelson and Annie Ruth (Brookes) Thomas, both parents preceded him in death.

Anthony enjoyed watching sports and was a extreme Cleveland Browns fan. He loved to dance, crack jokes, and gossip with his sister and his kids. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandsons. Everyone who knew Anthony loved him. He was everyone favorite Uncle Boom.

Anthony is survived by his significant other Jacqueline Watson who he spent 12 wonderful years with. Two sons, Anthony (Tracy) Thomas of Lima, and Alexander “Shaq” Howell of Cincinnati. Two daughters, Pamela Thomas and Angel Swinehart both of Lima. Stepdaughter Carmen (Altrovise) Glenn of Lima. Four grandsons Sir Horrison, Boss Horrison, Shawn Gibson Jr, and La’Trey Conley all of Lima. Two sisters, Shirley Upshaw and Vickie Thomas both of Lima. Sister-in-law Janice Thomas of Lima. Three brothers, Clarence Thomas, Steve (Amy) Thomas, and Quincy Peoples all of Lima. Brother-in-law Raymond “Crip” Grant of Lima. A host of nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Shawn Gibson Sr. Brother John N. Thomas Jr. Brother-in-law Lucious Upshaw Jr. Sisters, Brenda Thomas, Pamela K. Grant, Denise Thomas, and Michelle Thomas.
