Arlo “Charles” VanAlstine passed unexpectedly on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Charles was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on January 22, 1953 but lived in many states during his life including Florida, Alabama, and Ohio. Charles loved motorcycles, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, fishing, and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents Shirley (William) Lindsay and Clayton VanAlstine, his son Toby Colwell, and granddaughter Kiya Smith.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of almost 27 years Suzanne VanAlstine, his children Thurman Flannagan, Christie (Marco) Cervantes, Natasha (Tamika) VanAlstine, William VanAlstine, Vanessa (Jacob) Sanford, and Stephanie Ryan. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; sisters Sharon (Troy) Gunn, and Cindy VanAlstine; 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews;
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Ritter Park, 1130 W Riverview Ave, Napoleon, OH 43545 staring at 2:00 PM.
