Armeda "Dee" Lou Bowsher, 60 of Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 24,2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love that touched everyone who knew her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose generosity and sharp wit brightened the lives of many. She was born in Lima, on May 12, 1964, to Pamela Jean Wauben. Her mother preceded her in death. She was married to Charles L. “Chuck” Bowsher, and He preceded her in death. They were sweethearts and truly adored each other.
Dee was known for her unwavering giving nature and assertive spirit. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need, and her compassion was boundless. Throughout her life, she touched countless hearts, especially during her 20 plus year career as a substance abuse counselor. Dee dedicated herself to helping individuals find their way to recovery, offering both guidance and empathy to those in their most challenging moments. Her work was not just a job but a true calling, and she made an indelible impact on so many lives.
Above all, Dee was a phenomenal mother, sister and Gram. She was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren and took great joy in being the “best Gram ever”. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she provided them with unyielding support, encouragement, and love. As a mother, Dee was both nurturing and assertive, always ensuring her children knew the value of kindness, perseverance, and standing up for themselves.
Dee’s love of corgis was well-known, and anyone who visited her home was greeted by her cheerful, mischievous fur babies. She shared a special bond with these dogs, finding joy in their playful energy and unconditional companionship.
Dee's humor was as unforgettable as her spirit. Her raunchy sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, even in the most difficult times, endeared her to all who knew her. She was unapologetically herself, and that was one of the many things that made her so special.
