Arthur James Smith

Arthur James Smith, 83, of St. Mary's, Ohio passed away February, 18, 2021.  He was born on September 20, 1937 to the late Nicodemus and Nancy (Beverly) Smith in Campton, Kentucky.  He married Lillie Smith and she survives him. 

Arthur is also survived by his daughters: Connie Childs; Teresa Caudill (Jeff); sons: Larry (Belinda) Smith; Gary (Cindy) Smith; and Timothy (Addie) Smith; the mother of their children Barbara Janett Foust; 11 grand children and many great and great great grandchildren; and brother Ernest (Dollie) Smith.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Roe, Luther, Gene, Ovi, and Vernon; and sister Arlene.

Arthur worked at SRECO for over 30 year.  He was a preacher and loved to spread the word of the Lord.  He recorded his own gospel album and played the guitar and harmonica. Arthur enjoyed fishing and most of all was all about his family.  

Memorial contribution in Arthur's honor may be gifted to the family.

Visitation for Arthur will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 form 10:00 until the time of his service at 12:00 noon in the Hanneman-Siferd Funeral Home, 506 North Cable Road, Lima, OH 45805.  Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
