Audria Christine Tebeau

Audria Christine Tebeau, 93 of Vickery passed away, Wednesday morning, June 15, 2022 at the Elmwood Skilled Nursing, Fremont.  

She was born June 26, 1928 at home in Vegan, West Virginia (Upshur County, Buckannon) to the late Spencer E. and Neice E. (Oldaker) Griffeth. She married Richard Ray Tebeau of Toledo on November 13, 1948 and he preceded her in death. Audria is survived by her four sons: Ronald (Debora) of Wayne, Ernest (Linda) of Gibsonburg, Robert (Mary) of Helena and James (Laura) of Clyde; grandchildren: Sean, Alicia, Danielle, Juliette, Suzanne, Jeannette, Heather, Melody, Andrew, Ryan, Jason, Nicholas, Jessica, Alicia and Emily; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Gloria May Heatherly and Carroll Fay Griffeth. She was preceded in death by her son Larry Tebeau; grandchildren: Sonia and Jonathon; great-grandson Gavin; siblings: John Jacob Griffeth, Elijah Spence Griffeth, Velma Irene Deuley and Mary Elizabeth Westfall.  

Audria and her husband began caring for the elderly as nursing home administrators in 1961. Along with their growing boys, their company grew over the years and they eventually operated 7 different nursing facilities in Northern Ohio, being located in Alvordton, Fayette, Grand Rapids, Bowling Green, Clyde and Bellevue, Ohio. Audria enjoyed traveling with her husband and her sister Gloria. She like to play bingo, do lots of puzzles and always had a puppy and kitty around. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clyde, Ohio.  

Visitation will be on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 9:30 until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in the St. Michael Catholic Church, 317 E. Madison St, Gibsonburg, Ohio 43431, with Very Reverend Scott Woods, officiating. Burial will be in the Eisenhour Cemetery, Pemberville.  

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, Ohio 43420.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Audria’s honor to Sandusky County Humane Society or to American Cancer Society.
