Barbara Dobbs

Barbara Ruth (Lowman) Dobbs of Bowling Green, Ohio, formerly of Connersville Indiana passed into eternal rest on March 26 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Tuscola, Illinois April 2, 1928, the second of four children born to Fred and Elizabeth (Kruse) Lowman. The Lowman family moved to Connersville when Barb was a young girl. On March 23, 1946 Barb married Samuel T. Dobbs, 1923-2003, who worked as a shift supervisor at H. H. Robertson for many years. Barb and Sam raised their family in Connersville before retiring in Nashville, Indiana. Barb was an ever diligent and hard working mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to others. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all. Her favorite activities were cooking, baking, and serving delicious food to her loved ones. She was a lover of flowers and birds and enjoyed sitting outside among them. She was also an avid Hoosier sports fan and seldom missed a game.

Barb was predeceased by her parents, husband, and two sons, Sam (Gloria Ripberger) and Steve. She is survived by a sister, Janet Mains of Connersville, three sons; Gregg, Jim (Becky Maffit), and Joe as well two daughters, Sharman (Lowell) Casey and Marcia (Bill) Newsted. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
