Barbara (Mason) Jameson

Barbara Jean Jameson, a beloved member of the Bowling Green community, passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Frankfort, KY, on October 3, 1934 to the late John Mason and  Evella (Coates) Mason, and married Scott Jameson III who preceded her in death.

Barbara cherished her family dearly and was blessed to be able to travel the world with her husband. She was a woman of style and grace, always dressed to impress and with a smile on her face. She found joy in the company of friends and family, relishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Throughout her career at Bowling Green State University, Barbara touched the lives of many with her dedication and professionalism.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Denise Kornegay, her granddaughter, Sharlie James, her grandson, Jeffrey, wife Ivy  Leslie, and her great-grandchildren, Charlese James, Joy Jean, Journi Denise, and Iylah Leslie. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, also baby brother John Jr.

Services for Barbara will be private.

Contributions in her honor may be gifted to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
