Bernard Keefer Obituary

Bernard C. Keefer, 86, of Attica, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Firelands Regional Center, Sandusky.

Bernard was born in New London, Ohio on April 16, 1934 to the late Bennie and Mildred (White) Keefer. He married Rosalie Lutz on June 19, 1965 and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2013. Bernard is survived by his children: Terri (Clint) Smith of Attica and David (Patricia) Keefer of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers Melvin (Anne) Keefer and Ben (Gert) Keefer and sister in-laws Ramona and Barbara Keefer. Bernard was also preceded in death by his children: Sean Keefer, Marjory Cupp-Gibson and Gerald Cupp; siblings: Richard Keefer, Lisle Keefer, Dale Keefer, Carrol Keefer, Maurice Keefer, Virginia Keefer Dole, Genevieve Keefer, Mathess Keefer and Bernadine Keefer.

Bernard retired from Ford Motor Company in Sandusky and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in the Philippines. He attended the Attica United Methodist Church and was a member of the Attica American Legion. Bernard was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Bernard was a collector who enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions.

Private Family Services will be held.
