Betty Ehrnsberger Obituary

Betty Jo Ehrnsberger, 66, of Lima, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, at 5 PM, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on February 3, 1958, in Bluefield West Virginia, the daughter of Gene and Doris  Violet (Henderson) Collins. Both parents preceded her in death. On September 25, 1999, she married Randall Ehrnsberger, who survives in Lima. Randy was her best friend, and they would have celebrated their 25th anniversary in September.

Betty was a 1977 graduate of Perry High School, and was a lifelong resident of Lima Ohio. Betty retired from Keystone Meats, where she was an assistant manager in the meat department. She was very well known in the Lima community and was very approachable and never went anywhere she didn’t know someone. Her family was her true love, her husband, children, and grandchildren meant the world to her, and she spoiled them all. Her siblings and extended family were a large part of her life, and one of her favorite trips was always to North Carolina to see her sisters and brother. She was quite proficient at ceramics and pottery, and was a very creative and intuitive soul. She could detail ceramics and draw and paint like a pro, but it was mostly for her and her family’s enjoyment.

In addition to Randy, Betty is survived by a daughter; Sierra Himburg, of Van Wert: sons; Harold E. (Caytlin) Nungester Jr. of Lima, Nathan (Emily) Nungester of Mansfield, and Russell Ehrnsberger of Trenton Ohio. Her siblings include; Deborah Ann Wogerman of California, Linda McQueen, of Raliegh NC, and Thelma Diane Keil of Chinquapin NC, Randy (Kathy) Collins of Raliegh NC, Jack (Muriel) Collins of Lima, Joseph Franklin “Frank” (Debra)Collins of Lima, and brothers-in-law, David Ehrnsberger of Elida, and Donald Ehrnsberger of Lima and a sister in law, Phyllis (Tom, deceased) Rupert of Van Wert a step son in law Robert Starr, and step- daughter Sabrina (Brian) Reynolds.. She had 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A brother-in-law, Tom Rupert preceded her in death.  A step- daughter, Paige Starr also preceded her in death.
