Carol Virginia Harmon (Coykendal), 88, of Fostoria, Ohio passed away January 1, 2021. She was born on September 21, 1932 to the late Emmet and Eliza (Miller) Coykendall. She married Virgil Harmon in 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Carol is survived by her daughters: Marilyn Greaney, Martha "Martie" Tyree, and Marlene (Charles) Thomas all of Fostoria; sons: Roger Harmon and Ronald Harmon also from Fostoria; 19 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 4 neices and 3 nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her sisters: Betty Hamshire; Bernadine Harmon; and grandsons: Jason Brady and Randy Harmon.
Carol worked at Heinz factory in Bowling Green, Excello in Fostoria, and Bud Co. in Carey. She last worked as a nurses aid in Fostoria. She was housewife, enjoyed raising her children, loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing games, cooking, baking, painting pictures and doing crafts. She also enjoyed listening and singing along to music. Carol was a member of Pilgrim Holiness Church in Fostoria, Ohio and loved going to church and reading her bible.
Visitation for Carol will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green, Ohio. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Portage Cemetery.
