Clarence L. Weickert

Clarence Louis Weickert Jr., passed away on September 8, 2025. He was born on May 24, 1937 to the late Clarence L. Weickert Sr., and Nina (Miller) Weickert.

Clarence married Sandra (Stewart) on February 11, 1961 and together they shared 64 wonderful years together.

Clarence served in the Army Reserve and was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis. One thing he loved to do was fly the plane that he owned. He spent many of his days at the Fremont Airport. Clarence was a member of many groups including, The Portage Valley Flying Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #2947, the Fremont Yacht Club, and Grace Lutheran Church here in Fremont, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; Children, Clarence (Jane) Weickert III, and Stephen Weickert; and siblings, Janice Zimmerman, Patricia (Charles) Mowry and Donald (Ann) Weickert.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10-11:00 am at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. A Funeral Service celebrating Clarence's life will begin promptly at 11:00 am with Pastor Clayton Bailey Officiating. Clarence will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Rice Township.
