Craig Myers

Craig Myers, 63, of Liberty Center, Ohio passed away February 7, 2021. Craig was born on March 31, 1957 in Garmisch, Germany to James F. and the late Ardith (McCurdy) Myers. He married Sherry Atterberry and she survives.

Craig proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Hamler American Legion Post 262. Craig, along with his wife Sherry, owned and operated Pisanello’s Pizza in Liberty Center. He also had worked for the Campbell Soup Company as an electrician and retired after 41 years. In 1976, he was voted mayor of Liberty Center and at time was the youngest mayor ever elected. This was news all around the globe. Craig was a huge Liberty Center Athletics fan and supporter. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities as family was very important to him. He will be greatly missed by the community and his family.

Craig is survived by his wife Sherry; father James; daughters: Amy (Todd) Niles, Nicole (Frank) D’Ambrosia, Heather (Ben) Wilhelm; grandchildren: Logan, Landon, Kelsey, Christopher, Keegan, Henry, Wesley, Alexis; sister: Lynn (Vernon) Oberhaus and brother Doug (Sue) Myers as well as a bunch of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Ardith and infant brother Jeffery.

Visitation for Craig will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple Street, Liberty Center, Ohio. Funeral Services will be private for the family. Everyone attending the visitation are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Craig’s honor may be gifted to either the Liberty Center Athletic Boosters or the Liberty Center School’s Foundation.
