Obituary

David Foltz, 77, of Findlay passed away on January 14, 2022 peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

David was born on November 20,1944 in McComb, Ohio to the late Ernest and Edna (Herringshaw) Foltz at the McComb Hospital. He married the love of his life Annette Johnson on June 20,1971 in the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church and she survives in Findlay. Also surviving are his two daughters Carrie (Mark) Kreinbrink of McComb and Erica Holman of Findlay; grandchildren: Caleb and Chloe Kreinbrink and Mason Holman; siblings: Paula Dewey of Findlay, Bill (Carol) Foltz of Findlay, Janet (Roy) Donaldson of Deshler, John (Phyllis) Foltz of McComb, Susie (David) Hoge of Lima, and sister in law Beverly Foltz of McComb.  He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Foltz and brother in law Gene R. Dewey.

David was a 1963 graduate of McComb High School, where he played on the football team, played baseball, and was an FFA member. He was a Professional Truck driver for 42 years, and retired from Air Products and Chemicals Inc. in 2007 where he had nearly 2 million accident free miles with the handle “Eagle Eye”.  David was a member of the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Findlay and served his country in the Army National Guard. David helped start the Milk-E-Whey 4-H club as an advisor that his girls were members; and was instrumental in securing the Goat Barn at the Hancock County Fairgrounds as the barn superintendent. David enjoyed golfing, socializing at the McComb Lunch, mushroom hunting, deer hunting, and canoeing on the Blanchard River. David was known for his sense of humor and quick wit.  He liked to make people laugh.  He was always very supportive of his girls 4-H projects showing and raising their dairy goats and llamas all around the state.  David loved his family and truly loved being Paw Paw to Caleb, Chloe, and Mason.  He enjoyed watching them play sports, showing cattle, and supporting them any way he could.
