David M Sharpe

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved David Michael Sharpe, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. David passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 53. He was born on June 18, 1971, and was a graduate of Liberty Center High School. Continuing his education, David earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University.

Known for his passion for bodybuilding, David competed in National Body Building Competitions and maintained his love for fitness throughout his life, spending countless hours in the gym. Additionally, David was a dedicated coach who made a positive impact on the lives of many young athletes. He also enjoyed a good round of golf and a nice dip in the pool. 

A true sports enthusiast at heart, David's support was unwavering for his favorite teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys, and his very own Liberty Center Tigers football team.

David is survived by his wife Sarah, daughters: Taylor (Frankie Croskey), Emma and Ella Sharpe; his mom Linda (Jim) Vollmar; grandson Baker; siblings: Tammy (Tom) Oelkrug, Michelle (Naf) Visser, Matt (Jamie) Vollmar and their families; nieces: Hope and Calla, nephew JT; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his dad Michael, step-sister Amy Bryant; and grandparents: Ted and Bonnie Mohler, Rex and Charlotte Vollmar.

Visitation for David will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 2:00 until 7:00 pm at Liberty Chapel, 9474 Co Rd V, Liberty Center, OH.  An additional hour of visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral at 11:00 am.  Interment will immediately follow at Young Cemetery.
