Donna (Pendleton) Foos

Donna Jean Foos, 89, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away on October 18, 2024 at Elmwood Assisted Living.

She was born on December 23, 1934 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Alvin and Albertine (Turgeon) Pendleton. A 1952 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, she married Robert “Knobby” Foos on February 9, 1955, and he preceded her in death on October 27, 2004.

Donna had an unmistakable and energetic zest for life. After raising her children, she greatly enjoyed playing water volleyball at the YMCA, cooking for her family, mowing her yard, fishing, walking, biking, gardening, boating along the Sandusky River, going to auctions, having garage sales, and playing catch with the dogs. She also spent many years traveling to Pennsylvania with her brother to visit her extended family.

Donna is survived by her children: Mark (Lisa) Foos, Tom (Karen) Foos, Cindy Foos, Dave Foos, and Jim Foos, and her four grandchildren: Adam Foos, Ellen (Jayden) Taylor, Rachel Foos, and Nick Foos. Se is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ed Pendleton, and by her young daughter, Susan Foos.

Donna’s family will fondly remember her as a wonderful mother and grandmother and would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Elmwood Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for their respect and care for her.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, Ohio. Funeral services will follow. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Fremont, Ohio.
