Dorothy M. Beauprez
February 22, 1941 – April 13, 2026
Dorothy M. Beauprez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at the age of 85.
Born on February 22, 1941, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of the community she deeply loved and faithfully served. She was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Robert “Bob” Beauprez, on November 26, 1960, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church—a union that became a beautiful partnership spanning more than six decades, grounded in love, faith, and unwavering commitment.
Dorothy was the heart of her family. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Bob; her children, Tammy (Kurt) Ridley, Gregory (Michelle) Beauprez, and Angela Beauprez (Raymond Bostic); and her sister, Kimberly Sergent (Ron Drinkert). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tim, Cody, Ryan (Julie), Lauren (Michael), Logan, Garrett (Ambrie), Garrison, Andrea (Nick), Paige (Shade), and Ellie, and a treasured great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren—each of whom brought her immense joy and will forever remember her with the teddy bear from her collection
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy “Sam” and Maymie (McCalister) Sergent, and her brothers, Dennis, Dorsey, and Doye.
Dorothy graduated from Otsego High School in 1959, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. She continued her education at Bowling Green State University and began her professional career in the Bursar’s Office. She later dedicated many years to State Home Savings, retiring in 1994.
A woman of many talents, Dorothy was an exceptional cook and a gifted seamstress. She found her greatest happiness in caring for her family, creating warm and welcoming traditions, and bringing people together. She loved to travel and especially cherished time spent making memories at the family’s vacation home in Sunset Beach, North Carolina—a place filled with laughter, love, and togetherness.
Dorothy’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life. As a devoted parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, she generously gave her time and spirit, touching the lives of many through her kindness, compassion, and quiet strength.
Above all, Dorothy will be remembered for her selfless love, gentle heart, and the way she made everyone feel seen, cared for, and deeply valued. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the countless memories she helped create.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Dorothy's life. A visitation will be held at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home on April 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM until the time of the Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on April 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Contributions in her honor may be gifted to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
