Dorothy P (Kramer) Fick

Dorothy P. Fick, 100, of Fremont, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023 at Elmwood Assisted Living with her two sons by her side. 

She was born November 19, 1922 in Fremont to Arthur and Clara Kramer. A graduate of Fremont High School, she married Paul Fick on February 1, 1947. He precedes her in death.

In her younger years, Dorothy's devotion was always her three sons. She kept an immaculate house and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. 
Later in life, Dorothy and Paul enjoyed traveling. They enjoyed going to South Carolina to visit family, and they especially enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach.

She was a big fan of any sport her grandchildren were playing as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Washington Nationals. One thing that brought her great joy also was watching the Lawrence Welk Show!

Dorothy is survived by sons, John (RoseAnn) Fick of Westerville, OH, and Joseph (Jill) Fick of Fremont; daughter-in-law, Betty Fick of Bluffton, SC; sister, Norma Gabel of Fremont; grandchildren Timothy (Bonnie) Fick, Tami (Troy) Velliquette, both of Bluffton, SC, Jodi (Mike) Rizzo of Washington D.C. and Jessica (Antonio) Quarterman of Kennedy Township, PA; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Brendan Fick, Logan Velliquette, Colton and Austin Quarterman and Santino "Sonny" Rizzo; along with many nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2013; son, James; and sisters, Mercedes Lyons, Alberta Murphy and Bernadine Guyer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Ann Catholic Church or Promedica/Heartland Hospice. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023 at 9:00 am at St. Ann Church, 1021 W. State St, Fremont. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Following Mass, burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
