Dorothy (Koch) Thomson, 96, of Fremont, Ohio passed away on December 4, 2022. She was born on April 4, 1926 in rural Clyde, Ohio to the late Henry and Barbara (Mundy) Koch . She graduated from Clyde High School in 1944. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church as well as a member of Confraternity.
On April 3, 1948 she married Clarence (Bus) Thomson at St. Mary's Church in Clyde. He preceded her in death in October of 1990 after 43 years of marriage.
Dorothy worked at Eaton, formerly Singer Controls Company, for 25 years. She retired in 1988 after the company closed. Dorothy also worked for the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums until 2006. Her employment history also included Clyde Savings Bank, Fremont Federal Credit Union, and Trempers. She volunteered at the Hayes Presidential, American Red Cross, and Memorial Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling, traveling and other outdoor activities.
Dorothy is survived by son Thomas (Diane) Thomson of Fremont; grandchildren: Sarah Thomson (Brent) Weaver of Oceanside, California; Brian Thomson of Fremont, Ohio; Mark (Sara) Thomson of Columbus, Ohio and great-granddaughter, Adelynn. She was preceded in death by her husband, and sisters: Eleanor, Seger and Margaret Sundersen.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to a charity of the donors choosing.
A Memorial Services for Dorothy will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 South Arch Street, Fremont Ohio
