Douglas Koenig Obituary

Douglas L. Koenig, 69, of Lima, Ohio passed away January 30, 2023. Douglas was born on December 30, 1953, to Leo and Geraldine (Veit) Koenig in Sidney, Ohio.

Douglas is survived by his wife Janis; daughters: Erin (Kathleen Babbitt) Koenig, Tonya (Brittany Bailey) Koenig; sons: Neil (Terry) Koenig, Brian (Angie) Koenig; sisters: Karen (Ray) Sinrack-Gaubeaux, Jane Pfenning; Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Steven Koenig, Jim Koenig, Ned Koenig, and Ted Koenig.

Douglas proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne serving in Desert Storm. He worked as a Corrections Officer for the Lima Correctional Institution. Douglas was a member of FOE #370. He loved to go to Fat Jack's on Saturdays with his daughter.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
