Edward J. Caskey Sr. 83 of Lima, passed away peacefully on November 25,2023 at 11:25 pm at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 10, 1939. The son of Henry Caskey and Bertha (Gordon) Caskey.
On September 18, 1960, he married Patricia A (Johnson)Caskey, who preceded him in death. They were married for 62 beautiful years. Their love story will always live on through their family and they are now walking together hand in hand on those heavenly streets of gold.
Ed was a bricklayer for most of his life, retiring at the age of 81. When he wasn't laying bricks, building homes or doing construction work, you could find him fishing at any fishing hole he could find or tinkering around his garage, usually building something for someone in the family. He loved his family with his whole being and loved when his kids stopped over for a visit. In addition to his family, he loved his dog, Chase, who was gifted to him by his wife, children and grandchildren. His idea of dressing up was flannels, t-shirts and blue jeans and his hat.
Edward is survived by his two daughters; Caroline (Scott) Prinzi, and Dawn (Scott) Caskey and daughter in law, Peggy Caskey. He's preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters and 2 sons, Edward and Tim and survived by sister Hazel Cochran.
