**Obituary for Edward Osborn**

Edward Osborn, 85, of Liberty Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. He was born on July 25, 1940, in Scottsburg, Indiana, to Mearl and Aline Osborn.

Edward is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma Jean; his parents, Mearl and Aline; his brother, Mearl Osborn; and his sisters, Pearl Reddick, Vera Leger , and Villa Whitehouse. He is survived by his children: Todd (Linda) Osborn, Wendy Fite, and Jodi (Steve) Caldwriter; the mother of his children, Rose Webb; and a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Brandon (Jessia), Kayla (Shaun), Ashley (David), Kenny (Ashleigh), Dezaray, and Derick. . Edward was also proud of his 17 great-grandchildren, his close friends: Lori, Rueben, Debbie and Paul, a host of nieces and nephews. and his church family at United Methodist Church.

A proud veteran, Edward served in the U.S. Army for nine and a half years, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Following his military service, he worked as a police officer in Liberty Center and Delta, and met his wife, Wilma, while working at Markey Bronze. Edward spent 24 years as a tow motor driver at Campbell Soup before retiring in 2003. He was an active member of the VFW and the Liberty Center United Methodist Church, where he fostered many friendships and community connections.

In honor of Edward's life, a public viewing will take place at Hanneman Funeral Home in Liberty Center on July 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 PM, leading into a graveside service with Military Honors at Young Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
