Edwin M. Good Sr.

Edwin (Ted) Mitchell Good Sr. 94, of Burgoon, Ohio passed away on July 14, 2021. Edwin was born in Lyme Township in Huron County, Ohio to the late Adrian and Ruth (Mitchell) Good. He graduated from Thompson High School and attended Heidelberg and Terra Colleges. He married Patricia Ann Keller on April 5, 1947. He was an active member of Burgoon United Methodist Church, Lakota School Board, Charter Member and founding trustee of the Terra State Community College, Burgoon Village Council, Jackson Township Trustee and zoning board, the Fremont Community Theater, Fremont Kiwanis Club, Fremont Moose and the Fremont SPEBSQSA; singing Barbershop for 30 years.

He was employed as Senior Technical Foreman of Quality Assurance for Basic Inc., and Combustion Engineering and was a member of the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCET) and National Management Association organizations retiring in 1985 after 38+ years.

After retirement he remained active in local government serving as Sandusky County Commissioner and in many other Masonic Organizations including Brainard Lodge #336, Fremont Chapter & Council #64, Fremont Commandery #56, Fremont Eastern Star #79, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Valley of Toledo and Zenobia Shrine.

He loved spending time with the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and in his leisure time he enjoyed camping, woodworking and singing in a Barbershop Quartet.  

He is survived by sons Edwin M. (Debra) Good Jr. of North Canton, Ohio, Jeffrey L. (Judy) Good of Fremont, Ohio, and daughter Leila K. (Bill) Taylor of Georgetown, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grand-children and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia A. (Keller) Good and daughter Sharon K. Stephenson, parents; Adrian and Ruth Good, brothers Adrian Good Jr., Kenneth Good and sister Jean (Good) Behm.

Friends will be received on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St.  Fremont, Ohio, from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Burgoon United Methodist Church, 3269 Main St, Burgoon, Ohio 43407.  Burial service will follow at Smith Cemetery, which will be livestreamed on the Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Funeral Home Facebook page.
