Eleanor Meister Obituary

Eleanor Catherine Meister, 85, of Liberty Center, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Eleanor was born on December 12, 1936 in Riga, Michigan to the late Lester and Lena (Kos) Smith. She married Robert Meister on December 19, 1955 and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2022.

Eleanor babysat for many years for numerous children in Liberty Center. She enjoyed reading and working on projects in her backyard. Eleanor treasured the time she spent with her grandsons and great grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by daughters Laurie (Philip) Norden, Debra (Brent) Ehlers; grandchildren: Matthew (Melissa) Smith, Michael (Laura) Smith; great grandchildren: Elena, Matthew Robert, Evelyn, Lain, Lilly, Lyric, Lyara, and Lincoln.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, and brother Charles Smith.

Private Graveside services were held for the immediate family at Highland Memory Gardens.

Memorial Contributions in Eleanor's honor may be gifted to the Liberty Center Public Library.
