Frances L. Hagerty, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on June 24, 1942, in Bowling Green, Ohio, Frances spent her life in her hometown, where she made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Frances dedicated many years of her life to her work as a custodian at Bowling Green State University and most recently was a bus aid for BG Schools. She enjoyed trips to the casino, BINGO nights, and a good read. Frances had a flair for shopping, often found at garage sales or snatching up deals on QVC. She also sold Avon, Home Interior, and Princess House products. She knew how to make the Holidays extra special for everyone and cherished every moment spent with her family.
She leaves behind her children: Carol (Mario) Martinez, Dan (Amy) Cavin, Diana Foster, and Robert (Dawn) Cavin; her 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren; sisters: Jacalyn Wickham and Barb (Fred) Wilson.
A proud lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1148, Frances served as president three times, dedicating her time and energy to the community and supporting her fellow veterans.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents: William Collins and Donna Wickham, husband Deloyd Hagerty, daughter Cindy Hall, and grandson Jeremy Foster.
A private graveside service for Frances will be held at Wood County Memory Gardens at a later date.
