It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank "Macey" Costilla, who peacefully departed this life on March 23, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on October 22, 1939, in Benoit, Mississippi, Frank was the son of the late Andres and Eloisa (Torres) Costilla. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Alicia, their family and the entire community.
Frank's legacy extends beyond his family; he is survived by his children, Diane (Ron) Asztalos and Raul Costilla, and his siblings, Rita, Elma, and Adelina. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Rochelle (Branden), Macey (Amanda), Brooke, Alexis, and Monica and 14 great-grandchildren: Lyla, Arya, Havyn, Airiana, Eliana, Joclyn, Landen, Dannielle, Janel, Gage, Antonio, Nadia, Elleana, Athena, and one great-great granddaughter Nevaeh who will forever carry on his memory. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel Costilla and siblings: Aurora, Atltida, Rosaria, Irean, and Angelna, as well as a great-grandson, Daniel.
Frank dedicated 39 years of his life to working as a loader at the Custar Stone Quarry, where he was respected and admired for his work ethic. His commitment to his community was evident in his roles as Mayor, police officer, and firefighter in Milton Center. He proudly served as the first and only baseball coach for the town, leading the team to an undefeated season. One of the best if not the best story about Frank happen durring the blizzard of 78. He cleared out the entire town of Weston and safely transport a women in labor to the hospital.
In addition to his many accomplishments, Frank was a member of the FOE (Fraternal Order of Eagles) and had a passion for line dancing, attending flea markets, and working on cars. He was also an enthusiastic member of the rock hound club, where he shared his love for geology with others.
Funeral Mass for Frank will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00 St. Louis Catholic Church, 22792 Defiance Pike, Custar, OH 43511. Burial will immediately follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Custar
