Franklin Eugene Dietz

Franklin E. (Euie) Dietz, 95, of Clyde, Ohio died May 21st of 2023.

Frank retired from First Energy in 1987 with 35 years of service from the Eastern District, Lindsey, Ohio.

Born July 14, 1927 in New Bedford, Ohio. He attended New Bedford Elementary School then Baltic High School where he was drafted in July 1945. He served in the Philippine Islands at Clark Army Air Force Base. When discharged he received the WWII Victory Medal and the Philippine Independence Ribbon.

He was the son of Clarence R. and Alta M. (Ely) Dietz. His wife of 60 years Colleen, preceded him on April 9, 2011 and his son Gregory on November 21, 2020. He is survived by one son, Dereck of Romulus, Michigan; a sister and three nephews in Millerburg, Ohio; four nephews in Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio, and one niece in St. Petersburg, Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 pm at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home 416 South Arch Street, Fremont Ohio. Burial to follow services at Oakwood Cemetery.
