Gerald “Jerry” Fletcher, 87, of Findlay passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Birchaven Village surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born on May 26, 1936 in Findlay to the late Stanley and Mabel (Bower) Fletcher. He married the love of his life Lois Farlee on December 21, 1957 in the Howard United Methodist Church in Findlay and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2022 after 64 years of marriage. Jerry is survived by his three daughters: Shelley Fletcher of Findlay, Ohio, Debra (Robert) Creed of Canton, Michigan and Sara (Chris) Gomez of Van Buren, Ohio; grandchildren: Eric and Sean (Monica) LeBay, Alicia (Ryan) Paree, Phillip (Krystina) Creed, Christopher Fletcher and Tyler (Lindsay) Gomez; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings: Jerretta Clapp and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Jerry was also preceded in death by his son Michael Fletcher and grandchildren: Jason LeBay, Matthew Gomez and Kathryn Creed; brothers: Thomas Fletcher, Theodore Fletcher and his step father David Franklin Milliron.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and United States Navy. He was a faithful member of the Howard United Methodist Church in Findlay. Jerry retired from Hyway Trucking in 2002. Jerry was a friendly and caring individual, who never met a stranger. Jerry will be missed by all that knew him.

Services for Jerry will be private for his family.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840.
