It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Navarro, who left us peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on July 12, 1936, in Lockhart, Texas, Guadalupe lived a life filled with love, hard work, and the joy of family. She spent many years working at the Mansfield Early Childhood Development Center, caring for the children and molding their lives through loving guidance and care. Guadalupe retired from the Heinz factory, and also served our community as a nurse's aide at Valley View Healthcare Center located in Fremont. Her work with the seniors and individuals was the most fulfilling and rewarding position. Guadalupe is survived by her sons, David Garcia (Kimberly), Daniel Tolley, and Charles Tolley (Rachel). She had nine grandchildren (Antonio G., McKatlyn G., Valerie G., Julian T., Danielle P., Kristin Z., Jordan J., Monica T., and Zack T.) and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings and many extended family members who will miss her vibrant presence.
In her leisure time, Guadalupe enjoyed expressing her creativity through crocheting, sewing, cross-stitch and cooking passions that brought her much joy and allowed her to share her love with those around her. She was a member of St. Ann's Church for many years. A memorial gathering will be held at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S Arch Street, Fremont, OH 43420 on Friday, April 10th, 2026, from 4 to 6 PM, with the memorial service starting at 6, where family and friends will come together to celebrate Guadalupe's life and legacy. In this time of mourning, we honor Guadalupe Navarro, a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents Cruz Garcia and Guadalupe Garcia, as well as her sons Eric and Michael Tolley.
Special thank you to Don and Rose Grosso, during this time of sorrow. Also, the Toledo ProMedica Hospital ICU staff, and the Northwest Hospice of Sylvania, Ohio for their dedicated services.
