Helen Margaret Drexler, 97, passed away on April 1, 2022 at 3:26 am, at her residence. Helen was born on October 5, 1924 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of James Thurman Easton and Hazel (Garver) Easton-Masterpole, both parents preceded her in death, as well as her step-father who raised her, Alfred Masterpole. On October 12 ,1947, she married Ralph Drexler, who passed away in 2003.
She retired as a grill cook, she was employed at the Plaza Restaurant at Lima Truck Stop. Helen loved to read, do word searches, and singing to her many grandchildren, they were privileged to learn songs from her, not always with the “correct,” words. She truly liked Ray Steven’s music, and diversified her tastes, as she liked Pavarotti as well. Helen loved her family deeply, and her grandchildren(15), and great-grandchildren (21), and her great-great-grandchildren(2), felt that love and devotion she had. Next to her husband Ralph, she adored her children; Martha Jean (Oscar) Nance of Lima, and Thomas R. Drexler, of Lima. Her daughter-in-law, Diana J. Drexler-Riley survives as well. She was preceded in death by her daughters; Mary-Margaret “Muff” Bushey, and Linda Sue Drexler: two sons; John Edward Drexler, and Daniel Mort. Helen was also predeceased by a brother; Daniel Easton, and Sister and Brother-in Law; Ruth Matthews and Frank Matthews.
Friends may call at HANNEMAN-SIFERD FUNERAL HOME, 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, Ohio 45805 from 11am-1pm, on Friday April 8, 2022. A Celebration of her life service will begin at 1pm, with Fr. David M.
