Helen M. Zeh passed away on December 19, 2024. She was born November 15, 1935, in Liberty Center, Ohio, the daughter of Vernon Hoffman Sr. and Marjorie Bannister Hoffman. Helen married Bill Zeh on March 9, 2005, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2007.
Helen was the eldest of eleven siblings. Her childhood days were spent growing up at the Hoffman sawmill. Helen was a hard worker on the farm, helping to butcher animals, can vegetables and meat, and looking after her younger siblings. Even after Helen had her own family, she continued to work for the family sawmill, doing bookwork and helping with any tasks needed to keep the mill running.
Helen loved to bake and sew, often making various baked goods and handmade quilts for her children and grandchildren. She loved to bird watch and would faithfully feed the birds that visited her yard. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers. Helen loved time spent in Pensacola Beach and would spend countless hours walking the beach looking for shells and other ocean treasures. She was happiest when enjoying the nature around her.
Helen came from a large tight-knit family. She leaves quite a legacy in her passing. She is survived by nine siblings, Ruben-Bud Hoffman, George (Melody) Hoffman, Ruth Ann (Dale) Townsend, Bernard (Bonnie) Hoffman, Mary Carnahan, Lois (Jim) Jones, Herbert (Cindy) Hoffman, Alvin (Joanie) Hoffman, and Evie (Kevin) Leaders. Helen was a busy mother, raising six children. Surviving are her children Robert (Jayne) Fraker, Rose (Tom) Klopfenstein, Janet (Lonnie Sr.) Winover, Steve Fraker, and Linda (Chris) Homan. She leaves behind fourteen grandchildren, Eric (Teri) Fraker, Brian (Kristen) Fraker, Joe (Rayna) Fraker, Amanda (Bryan) Croninger, Aaron (Sarah) Klopfenstein, Lonnie Jr. Winover, Brandon Winover, Curtis (Sarah) Ernsberger, Katrina (Chase) Sweeney, Steven Fraker, Sara (Mike) Groden, Emmitt (Samantha) Young, Trey Homan, and Tayah Homan.
