James Van Seghbroeck II, 39, of Findlay, Ohio passed away on January 28, 2021.
Better known as “Jimmy” to many, he was born on August 17, 1981 in Bowling Green, Ohio to James Van Seghbroeck and Barbara Mull. He married Amanda Thompson on October 18, 2008 after being together for ten years and she survives in Findlay. Also surviving are his children: Jillian, Jacob, Jocelyn and Jonathan Van Seghbroeck; mother Barbara Mull-Parrish, stepfather Donald Parrish of Findlay, father James (Nancy) Van Seghbroeck of Winter Haven, Florida; brother Jeffrey (Rosemary) Van Seghbroeck, Virginia; half-sister Deanna (Bruce) Howells of Salem, Oregon; Aunts Rosemary Stonebreaker, Cheryl Mull and Paula Chapin; uncles Bob Wilson, Paul Mull and John Wright; a host of loving nieces, nephews, close cousins, and many loving friends; step brothers Logan and Jonathan Parrish; father in-law Rick (Debbie) Thompson; mother in-law Donna Koehler; brother in-law Chris Thompson and sister in-law Tasha Ford. Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Doloros and Bill Mull, John and Peggy Van Seghbroeck; aunts Anna Paul, Peggy and Cheryl Mull, and uncles Bill and Donald Mull.
Jimmy was a 1999 graduate of Findlay High School where he played on the Hockey team. Jimmy at a young age took up playing hockey and became an excellent skater, player, and all-around athlete. He also played in many softball leagues. Jimmy was an avid Detroit Red Wings, The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. Jimmy was a happy, fun and caring gentleman, he had an infectious smile and a laugh that could light up a room. The most important part of his life was his wife, children, his loving mom, brother, and family. He was a devoted father and the best Dad anyone could ask for.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 3:00-8:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840. Jimmy's Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 12 Noon in the funeral home, which will be livestreamed on the Hanneman Funeral Home Findlay & McComb Facebook Page. Those attending the visitation and service are asked to wear masks, practice social distancing, and wear their Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns attire.
