James (Woody) Bowman Woodhouse passed away on January 11th, 2025.
James was born in Oneida, New York, on November 23, 1948; son of the late
Glen and Ruth Woodhouse. Woody served honorably aboard in the United
States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Constance (Waltman)
Sims on August 26, 2022, who he leaves behind. Woody was loved by many
who will miss him deeply.
For over 30 years Woody enjoyed working as an Industrial Maintenance
Mechanic and once retired, decided on Lima, Ohio to settle down. He was
passionate about all things including his guitars, ham radio, woodworking,
fishing, and numerous other hobbies. He was also an avid archer who won
several competitions.
He is survived by; 1 daughter Kayla (Rumbaugh) Sims, 1 son Roman Sims,
3 sisters Mary Ellen (Woodhouse) Roberts, Sylvia (Waltman) Holliday, Laura Waltman, 2 brothers Richard Waltman,
James Holliday, 2 nieces Alexandria Holliday, Ashley Waltman and 1 nephew Connor Waltman.
In accordance with Woody's wishes, cremation has taken place. Always the
character, his parting words were, “f##k em if they can’t take a joke”.
