Janet S. Powell

Janet "Jan" S. Powell, 79, of Findlay, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, Ohio.  She was born in Warsaw, Indiana, on October 02, 1945, to the late Walter Clause and Audrey (Streby) Harman.  She married her husband, Dick Powell, on December 15, 1978, in Findlay, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2024.

Jan is survived by her children: John (Traci) Henschen, and Tammy (Jeff) Stahl; 6 step children; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Mary Lou Ducat, and Kimberly (Keith) Reynolds; her many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Baby.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and her brothers: Walter, Donald, and William Harman.

Janet worked as a Personnel Manager for Metal Forge, in Deshler, and later, worked at Cooper Tire.  She enjoyed working with the Flag City Honor Flight, Christian Clearing House, spending time at the beach with family, and was an avid reader.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, at Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Avenue, Findlay, Ohio.
