Jean Miller

Jean Miller, 88, of Republic passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

Jean was born on December 4, 1933 in Long Beach, California to the late Paul and Gladys (Iverson) Bentzien. She married the love of her life Richard Miller on November 12, 1955 in Sherman Oaks, California and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2020 after 64 years of marriage. Jean is survived by her loving daughters: Kathy (Robert) Singleton of Peoria, Arizona, Linda (James) Wurm of Republic, Ohio and Sharon (Derek) Williams of Brunswick, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Liora Benzion and a daughter in-law Kathy Miller. She was also preceded in death by her son John Miller.

Jean worked at the Foodtown in Tiffin retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church, Literary Guild and Farm Bureau. Jean loved working with her flowers, and had a heart of gold. She would help anyone in a time of need. She was known for her beautiful smile and her beautiful voice. The most important part of Jean’s life was her family. She was a generous and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation for Jean will be on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 9:30 until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 in the Attica United Methodist Church, 98 Mill St., Attica, Ohio with Pastor Michael Padula, officiating. Interment will follow in the Attica Venice Cemetery. Jean’s services will be livestreamed on the Hanneman Funeral Home Willard & Attica Facebook page. Those who have not been vaccinated are asked to wear a mask.

A special thank you to the loving and caring staff of Autumnwood Care Center. Mom considered them her family for the past two years. She was known there for her beautiful smile and lovingly referred to as their California girl.
