Jeanne’s love, compassion and loyalty toward her family and friends was noted by all who knew her, as she so often put others before herself. Jeanne enjoyed family visits, picnics, family reunions, fishing, playing Parcheesi, which she paid her children a quarter a game to compete against her! She was an avid sunbather and was most often accompanied by her beloved dog, Buttons. Jeanne would shine out on the dance floor (a dancer in earlier years), she liked singing her favorite songs such as “You are my sunshine”, Hey Good Lookin”, and anything by Elvis! Her most predominant employer was Columbus Recreation and Parks. Jeanne’s outstanding work ethics and her caring demeanor towards her coworkers and the children that attended earned her a distinguished employee award in 2001. There were many trials and tribulations throughout Jeanne’s life but her legacy is that one can prevail many hardships in life while remaining strong, caring and loving for others, regardless the odds.
A Celebration of Jeanne’s Life will occur at a later date in her home town of Columbus, Ohio. Memorials can be made to the donors choice.
