Jeanne Sutton

Jeanne Sutton, 79, of Fremont passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

Jeanne was born on December 12, 1941 to the late Hartley and Lillian (Furay) Dailey. She married Alva Sutton and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2013. Jeanne is survived by her daughters: Holly (Charles) Gates of Tiffin and Sarah (Frank) Erckman of Sandusky, her son-in-law Robert Booher III; grandchildren: Lauren (Steve) Martikan, Robert (Ali) Booher IV, Rachel Gates, Christopher Gates, Kortney (Joe) Bush, Kaylyn Trambley and Karoline Trambley; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings: Virginia Staberg, Nancy Abel and Kenneth Dailey and her canine companion Jasmine. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Booher.

Jeanne enjoyed traveling with her late husband Alva to the Outer Banks, Savannah as well as their trip to Scotland. Jeanne taught Real Estate and Appraisal at Hondros College. Jeanne was an avid reader, as well as an avid walker who would meet with her group the Rec Rats and walk at the Rec Center every day. Jeanne also talking with her family and friends and a good glass of wine. She was a member of the Fremont Lions Club and was a huge Tom Selleck fan. Most of all, Jeanne loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Jeanne’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday November 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Hanneman-Chudzinski-Keller Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, Ohio 43420, where visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeanne’s honor to the Fremont Lions Club or the American Cancer Society.
