Jerry Hairston, 81, beloved Father, Brother, Son and Uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on August 21, 2025. He entered this world on January 29, 1944 in Columbus, MS, born to Noah and Mary (Williams) Hairston.
Jerry worked at Clark Equipment and enjoyed doing many jobs there and was known best for saying, "50 cent joint-high street!"
He is survived by his children, Darrick Steward, Alonzo Hairston, Lindsey Robinson, and granddaughter that was more like a daughter, Bliss Hairston. Also surviving are his siblings, Noah (Kathy) Hairston, Shirley (Shaun) Potts, Mary Odom, Roy Hairston, Michele (Will) Phipps, Tracy Crockett and Bernice Johnson. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Angelia (Kenneth) Garner ; siblings, Charlie Hairston, Richard Hairston, Betty Gurley, and also his Step-father, Willie B. Massey.
A public visitation will be held Friday, 29th of August, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hanneman-Siferd funeral home, where a funeral service celebrating Jerry's life with begin promptly at 12:00 pm.
