Jimmy J. Brown, 80, of North Baltimore, passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on January 26, 1941 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Joe and Nellie (Beam) Brown. Jim is survived by his life partner of twelve years, Sally Stemen. He is also survived by his children: Kim (Rob) DeBouver, Lynn (Aarron) Hadley, and Jessica (Kim Kennedy) Brown; Sally’s children: Paige Axtell, Amy Johnson, and Joseph (Stephanie) Johnson; brother Tom Brown; nephew Jerry (Carol) Marquart; grandchildren: Tosha, Rick, Levi, Anna, Nicole, Jazlyn, Porsha, Kyra, David, Kelsey, Luke, Abbie, Walter, Ceythe and Max; great grandchildren: Tessa, Brittani, Hailey, and Grayson; and great-great grandson Steven. Jim is proceeded in death by his parents, and sisters: Sharon, Rosemary, Ruth, and Wilma.
Jim was a hard-worker and retired from Cooper Tire after 47 years. He spent his retirement traveling the world. He was a devoted father and a stead-fast friend. Jim was quite the pun-ster and was crowned the “King of Dad Jokes”. He was the Hancock County Chairman of Water Safety and taught boating canoeing, and swimming at the National Aquatic School for the American Red Cross. He was also the Commandor of the Findlay Ohio Boat Club. Jim loved being in the water so much that he built his own canoe and spent his free time boating.
A visitation for Jim will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 12-2PM at the Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840 with a memorial service to follow, with Pastor Ken Gray, officiating.
