Joan B Melton

Joan B. Melton, 77, of Wauseon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020. She was born on April 8, 1943 to the late William Thomas Jr. and Martha (Sizemore) Moss in Asheville, North Carolina. She married J.B Melton on August 13, 1960 and they were married for 59 years. J.B. survives her in Wauseon.

Joan is also survived by her daughters: Jonni (Betty) Melton of Bowling Green, Ohio, ; Joey (Brent) Shadbolt of Wauseon, Ohio; son James (Carrie) Melton Tipp City, Ohio; grandchildren: Jamie, Tyler, Katelyn, Karley, Kallie, Caleb, Connor, Kayla; great-grandchildren: Keenan; Xavier, Riley; sister Wilma Back; brother Walter Moss; sisters-in-law; Jane Moss; Virginia Anne Kilburn; great friend Janellen Swartz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, brother William T Moss III, brother-in-law James Back, grandson Austin Hardin.

Joan was a graduate of Perrysburg High School. She last worked for the Pharm retiring from there in 2008. Joan enjoyed crocheting and traveling. She took a number of cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska and loved to go to Hawaii. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very active in attending their sports and activities. She will be dearly missed.

Memorial contributions in Joan's honor may be gifted to American Heart Association, or Parkinson's Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

A Celebration of Joan's life will be at a later date.
