Joanne Marie Fields

Joanne Fields, 86, of Bowling Green passed away Friday, May 26, 2023.  She was born on March 14, 1937 to the late Phillip and Pearl (Sherman) Jones.  She married Vernon Fields and he survives her. 

Joanne is also survived by her son Russell Carpenter; daughter Kathy Henry; grandchildren: Jeremy, Kory (Jen), Katie, Robert (Ashley), Jenny (Luke), Amber (Scott), and John; 14 great-grandchildren; and step son David Fields.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Gary; sister Phyllis; and step-daughter Jonna. 

Joanne was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Wood County Nursing Home now Wood Haven Healthcare for over 30 years.  She enjoyed traveling in her and Vernon's RV all over the United States. She volunteered at the Senior Center, Christian Food Pantry and was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She loved attending all of her grandchildren's games and spending time with her family.

Contributions in Joanne's honor may be gifted to Bridge Hospice.

A memorial gathering for Joanne will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 from 10 am until the time of her Celebration of Life service at 12 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
