Judith Eileen Travis Leininger, 83, lifelong resident of Liberty Center passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 in the comfort of her own home.
Judith was born at home in Liberty Center, Ohio to the late Julian Slater and Lura Helen (Johnston) Travis. She married Dale E. Leininger on March 28, 1958 and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2002 after 44 years of marriage. Judith is survived by her children: DANIEL (Ruby), Diane (David), Douglas (Patty), Dawn (John) and D’Anna (Patrick); 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debra who passed away on August 8, 1973, a great-grandson, and her brother Bryce Travis.
Judith along with her husband Dale owned and operated Dale Leininger Builders, Those Bloomin’ Things and EON Industries. Judith was an avid gardener, crafter and sewer. She loved working with ceramics, baking, cooking, and reading. Her true passion was spending time with her family, pets and birds.
A Memorial Service for Judith will be held for her family.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center.
