It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Kobe Jamar Ochieng, age 21, of Lima, Ohio, on March 19, 2025. Kobe was born on February 16, 2004, in Lima, Ohio, to his loving parents, Tiffany D. Glenn and Michael Ochieng.
Kobe was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. A graduate of Perry High School, he excelled both in academics and athletics. He was a passionate football player and an accomplished track athlete, known for his determination and sportsmanship. His love for competition and his dedication to his team were always evident.
Outside of school, Kobe had a creative soul. He loved movies, music, and spending time with his brothers, whom the family fondly referred to them as the “4 Kings.” Kobe had a unique ability to connect with others and was always full of ideas, including his passion for writing scripts and creating podcasts. He was working diligently on his own website, “Skwad13,” which showcased his many talents and entrepreneurial spirit.
Kobe also worked at Snack ‘N Dudes, where he helped supply America with Little Debbies, a job that allowed him to bring joy to others through something as simple and sweet as a snack. His work ethic and positivity made him a beloved member of the team.
Kobe leaves behind his parents, Tiffany D. Glenn and Michael Ochieng, as well as three brothers, Devares Glenn, Jayven Glenn, and Kimari Glenn. He was also deeply loved by his special uncle, Tadrik Coleman, and his three loving grandmothers, Kimberly Tibbs, Dorothy Knuckles and Shirley Tibbs. He has a host of family and friends that he leaves to cherish his beloved memory.
Kobe was preceded in death by his stepfather Cleveland Branch Jr., grandparents Demetrius Glenn, Elder Edward Tibbs, Henry Ochieng, Jane Ochieng, Joseph Glenn, Ruthie Glenn, and Arthur Knuckles.
Though his time with us was far too short, Kobe’s impact on those around him will forever be cherished. His creativity, passion, and love for his family will never be forgotten.
In honor of Kobe’s memory, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to his mother, Tiffany Glenn, to honor his legacy. No funeral or memorial will be held at this time in respect of his family’s wishes.
May Kobe rest in peace and love may we all find strength in the beautiful memories he leaves behind. Remember my mantra, remember, not dwell.
